Biography
Pamela Denise Anderson was born on July 1, 1967 in Ladysmith, British Columbia.
Her father was furnace repairman and her mother was a waitress.
Pam was the first baby of the Canadian Centennial to be born in the area.
Her family soon moved to Comox, where she grew up.
Her she absorbed the eccentric Finnish-immigrant grandfather's "New Age way of thinking."
This philosophy was composed of a fascination with mythology, fairy tales,
crystals, meditation, and dream interpretation.
Through high school she was active in sports particularly volleyball in which she won trophies.
Graduating from high school in 1985, her goal in life stated in her yearbook, "To be a California beach bum."
Her first big break came in 1989 while working as a fitness instructor in Vancouver.
She was attending a professional football game with friends when a cameraman focused on her.
She was projected onto the stadium's big screen for all to see.
She happened to be wearing a Labbatt's T-shirt which caught the attention of a Labbatt's manager
who tracked her down and signed her on as a model for the "Enter the Blue Zone" campaign.
The photographer who did the shooting, Dan Illicic, became her boyfriend.
Before long Playboy was calling and her entertainment career was launched.
She appeared on the magazine's cover in October 1989. After that, Pam spent
the next two years doing small spots on various television shows.
She was on Married with Children and Home Improvement. Her role on Home Improvement as
Lisa (the Tool Time Girl) got her national attention and earned her a spot on Baywatch.
Her role as C.J. Parker has brought her fame not only in the U.S. and Canada,
but also in Italy, England, and India. She also did five more Playboy covers along with the lead in the movie Barb Wire.
For all the fame that Pamela has received, the one thing she has wanted to be is a wife and mother.
With that in mind she dated some of Hollywood's bachelors, including Sylvester Stallone,
Dean Cain, and Scott Baio which she was briefly engaged.
The Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee asking her for dates in late 1994.
He followed her to Cancun in February of 1995, where the two met and had dinner.
Five days later they were married, the groom in trunks and the bride in a white thong bikini.
The couple has two children Brandon (b. June 6, 1996) and Dylan. (b. December 27, 1997)
